Active Stephen Leaders (SLs)
|
Jane Campbell, Brenda MacDonald and Carol SpencerLemay are active. A total of 5 SLs have been trained.
|
We are recruiting new SLs via the announcements, the bulletin, church teams, personal invitations, and the Messenger.
|
Active Stephen Ministers (SMs)
|
We have 5 active SMs at this time. A total of 15 SMs have been trained.
|
We are recruiting new SMs in the same manner as SLs.
|
Training of new SLs
|
The next Leader’s Training Course is June 12-18 in Orlando, FL.
|
We will reimburse the new SL(s) for expenses of the training and trip.
|
Training new SMs
|
Active and inactive SLs will help us teach the new SMs.
|
Once we have 3 people who have been accepted into the training program, we will start teaching.
|
Peer Supervision
|
We hope one of the SMs will be trained to be a facilitator of the Peer Supervision group.
|
Peer Supervision meets the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Stephen Ministry/Music Director’s office.
|
Potential Care Receivers (CRs)
|
One of the SLs visits with a potential CR to see if the person is able to see a SM. The SMs have served a total of 14 Care Receivers so far.
|
Information about referring a CR to the Stephen Ministry will be placed monthly in the pews with the Caring Cards. Info. is also on the bulletin board.
|
Continuing Education (CE)
|
CE is presented to the SMs once a month before Peer Supervision.
|
CE for May is Talking with People with Dementia, and for June it’s a Review of Confidentiality.
|
SL’s Meeting
|
The SLs meet most Wednesdays at 10 am in the Stephen Ministry/Music Director’s office.
